How to MacBook Air 11-inch A1465 Screen Replacement

I have the MacBook Air 11in A1465. Bought a few weeks back. I’ve damaged the display by denting the upper case. Replacing screen on a MacBook Air 11-inch A1465 is a more involved process than a battery replacement, requiring careful handling and specific tools. Here’s a step-by-step guide.Shut down your MacBook Air and disconnect the power adapter and any other connected devices.

Remove the Bottom Case

Use the Pentalobe P5 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the bottom case. Lift the bottom case to remove it. Carefully lift the battery out of the MacBook ,Use the spudger or a plastic opening tool to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.

Disconnect the Display Assembly

Use the spudger to carefully disconnect the display data cable.Remove the rubber covers on the display hinge screws.Use the Torx T5 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the hinges of the display assembly.Carefully lift the display assembly away from the MacBook Air.

Install the New Display Assembly

Position the new display assembly in place and secure the hinges with the Torx T5 screws.Reconnect the display data cable using the spudger. Place the battery back into the MacBook.Secure the battery with the Torx T5 screws and reconnect the battery connector to the logic board. Place the bottom case back onto the MacBook and secure it with the Pentalobe screws.
