Tools and Parts Required

- T3 Torx screwdriver.

Remove the Screen
The screen is secured to the Surface Pro 7 with strong adhesive. You’ll need to soften the adhesive using heat. You may need to reheat and reapply the Opener several times to get the tablet warm enough. Follow the Opener instructions to avoid overheating. Insert an opening pick into the speaker opening on the screen and slide the pick between the glass and speaker grille. Work slowly around the edges of the screen, gently lifting it as you go. Be careful around the corners.
Disconnect the Battery and Screen Cables
Use the pointed tip of a spudger to carefully push on each side of the battery connector. Locate the ribbon cables connecting the screen to the internals of the device. Use tweezers or a spudger to carefully disconnect the cables. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors, with all the cables disconnected, you can now completely remove the damaged screen from the Surface Pro.
Connect the New Screen
New screen and connect the ribbon cables back to the motherboard. remove the adhesive from under the display board with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth or coffee filter. Then, apply new adhesive from a precut adhesive card and secure it to the new screen.
Your Microsoft Surface tablet will carefully tested after repair once again. The test will include the new screen fitting, display brightness, dead pixels or dark spots, touch screen but also we will confirm other functions to work properly after we disassembled the tablet .
